mibodita privacy policy
mibodita is a web platform by Kanku Software Solutions for creating personalised wedding invitations and managing the guest list. This policy explains what data is processed, why, and who is responsible for each processing, in line with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish law.

Who is responsible for what
There are two different situations:
- Guest data. Each couple is the controller of its own guests’ data: it decides what to collect, why and for how long. Kanku Software Solutions acts as processor and handles it only on the couple’s instructions, to provide the service.
- Data of couples using the service and of people requesting a demo. Kanku Software Solutions is the controller.

What data is processed
- Guests: each guest’s name and the group’s name, whether they are a minor, the group’s contact phone (entered by the couple, for sending via WhatsApp), attendance reply, allergies or dietary restrictions, bus need and number of seats, an optional message, answers to any questions the couple has added and, if the couple uses it, the assigned table.
- Couple using the service: login email and the content they upload to their invitation (texts, photos, music).
- Demo request: name and contact email.
Allergies and dietary restrictions can reveal information about a person’s health or beliefs and are treated as special category data. They are collected only to organise the catering for the event, are seen only by the organising couple and are not used for any other purpose.

Data is not used for advertising, is not sold and is not subject to automated decisions.
Recipients and processors
Data is stored in Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) and the application is hosted on Vercel; both act as sub-processors under contract. No data is shared with other third parties except where required by law. When the couple sends a link on WhatsApp, they do so from their own device and account, and that sending is subject to WhatsApp’s terms.
If any provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
The home page and public invitations use no cookies. Only technical session cookies are created when a couple signs in to its private dashboard; they are necessary for the service and do not require consent. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Retention
- Guest data is kept while the event is being organised and is deleted automatically six months after the wedding date. The couple can delete it earlier from its dashboard.
- Data of the couple using the service is kept while its account is active and, afterwards, for the applicable legal periods.
- Demo requests are kept for as long as needed to handle them.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to info@kankusoft.com. If you are a wedding guest, the quickest route is the couple who invited you, who is responsible for that list; Kanku Software Solutions will help them handle your request.
If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
The couple’s obligations
By entering their guests’ data, the couple undertakes to inform them of this processing, to collect only the data needed and to handle their rights. Kanku Software Solutions provides the dashboard tools to correct and delete data.
Security
Each couple can access only the data of its own wedding, through database-level access control. Connections are encrypted. No system is infallible, but we apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk.
Changes to this policy
If the way data is handled changes, we will update this page and state the date of the latest review.
