What you can do with Live Photo Utility
- Review your Live Photos
- Browse the Live Photos in your library and see a local estimate of what they take up before you decide what to do.
- Export the motion
- Save the motion of a Live Photo as a video or a GIF. The original Live Photo is left unchanged.
- GIFs your way
- Adjust trim, loop, frame rate and GIF quality, with an estimated size shown before you export.
- From Live Photo to still
- Convert the Live Photos you choose into still photos. The app creates and verifies the replacement photo before asking you, separately, to confirm any deletion.
- Duplicates and screenshots
- Inspect possible duplicates and screenshots, select what you want and explicitly confirm before anything moves to Recently Deleted.
- Works with limited access
- If you only allow the app some photos, it works with that selection alone. You can change the permission at any time in Settings.
- Free, with an optional Pro
- Scan, preview and try the core operations within a free limit, and claim a daily gift of operations. Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase that removes the limits.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Live Photo Utility processes your library on device and Kankusoft does not receive your photos, videos or data. We explain it in the privacy policy.
Is anything deleted without asking?
No. The app never deletes automatically: an item only moves to Recently Deleted after your explicit confirmation, and from there recovery depends on Apple’s Photos app.
Do I have to pay to use it?
No. There are free features with a limit and a daily gift of operations. Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited use.
Will it free up space?
It can help you review what takes up space, but we do not promise a specific saving: it depends on your library, iCloud and file formats.
Live Photo Utility is an independent Kankusoft app and is not affiliated with Apple. It is not a system cleaner or optimiser. Pro is an optional in-app purchase; the App Store shows the price for your country.
