What you can do with Katas
- Kata list
- 102 competition katas with an A–Z index, search by name or number, and favourites with one gesture.
- Lists made for you
- Create lists to train or compete, add several katas at once and reorder them. The Youth list includes 45 katas and the Basics catalogue, with the complete Pinan / Heian.
- Competitions
- Date, venue and countdown, split into upcoming and past. Duplicate a competition as a template for the next event.
- Categories and tatami
- Plan the tournament by category and use the tatami view: who competes on each one and which kata they perform.
- Competitors and rounds
- Register competitors (or paste a list of names) and plan each round with its kata and colour, Aka or Ao. Tick off finished rounds and see what is next; it warns you if a kata is repeated.
- Share with your team
- Keep your competitions in your iCloud and share them with a read-only link, or send the summary in a message. Your data stays yours.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Katas has no user accounts: your data stays on your iPhone and, if you wish, in your own iCloud.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Everything except sharing and iCloud sync works without internet.
What does Katas do with my data?
Nothing: Kankusoft neither receives nor has access to it. We explain it in the privacy policy.
Are the kata lists official?
They are a reference only: they do not replace the naming or numbering of any official body.
